CHURCH SERVICES
We welcome everyone to our church services.
Our church is a branch
of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts. The discoverer and
founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, founded her church to restore primitive Christianity and its lost element of
healing.
At
our Sunday services, the visitor will hear readings from the Holy Bible and the Christian Science Textbook, “Science
and Health with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy. Mrs. Eddy made these two books the pastor
for all Christian Science churches, and lessons from these books are read at services around the world.
Testimony MeetingsOn Wednesday evenings, we hold testimony
meetings that include readings from our Pastor and discussions of Christian Science that include testimonies of healing.
Sunday SchoolWe also have a Sunday school for children and young people up to 20 years of age. Our
Sunday School is in the building adjacent to the church auditorium and meets at the same time as the church service.
In our Sunday School, students learn about the Bible and how to make its lessons relevant in their daily lives.
They also learn about the healing practice of Christian Science.
Reading RoomOur church maintains a Christian Science Reading Room located in our
Sunday School. At the Reading Room, visitors can borrow or purchase authorized Christian Science literature,
or read the weekly Bible Lesson. It also provides a quiet place for study or prayer. Helpful
attendants are present to answer any questions. The Reading Room hours are Monday, Friday and Saturday
from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Literature available for purchase includes:
· The Holy Bible · Science and Health: with Key to the Scriptures · The Christian Science Journal · The Christian Science Sentinel · Weekly Bible Lessons · Children’s Bible story books · Inspirational Music CDs
Childcare is
provided at all of our church services in the Children’s Room.
Parking is available curbside and
in the High School parking lot across the street.
